The VII International Conference of the World Mediation Forum was organized by the World Mediation Forum (WMF), a worldwide association nonprofit that helps mediators and others interested in mediation solutions between the parties in dispute and whose expertise includes the areas of mediation in intercultural, interpersonal, institutional, international and others.
's conference was entitled Mediation, Justice and Governance: An opportunity for peace and its purpose was to discuss how mediation is one of the tools to get through of justice can achieve good governance.
It included expert speakers from Venezuela and international from 27 November to 29 gathered at the Hotel Laguna Mar Margarita Island.
This important stage served as a venue to promote the exchange and analysis of experiences of all types of mediation: criminal, labor, family, educational, environmental, business, politics, college student, online, conflicts in borderlands, religious and intercultural.
The event was attended by professionals from all sectors and disciplines both domestic and foreign, and was attended by representatives from approximately 70 countries worldwide.
The issue of mediation, justice and governance: an opportunity for peace, provided an opportunity to discuss new approaches and methods to mediate the conflicts of different kinds.
This event was billed as a success due to the participation of hundreds of professional mediators in the world to discuss the traditional ways of addressing the changes and conflicts at all levels and analyze the need for new approaches and methods to prevent, resolve and contain conflict and was a space for exchange of successful experiences in this area, as well as an opportunity to meet academic and professional progress and innovative experiences in key areas such as family mediation, commercial, criminal, labor, education, community, environmental, legislative, public and private , health, services, land disputes, among others.
Dr. Lucy Amado, in their participation as a speaker on the "IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CENTER FOR MEDIATION AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION IN VENEZUELA" stressed that the organization of a community mediation centers must first provide A study of the situation of the community in which to implement, namely: location, needs, type of conflict, socioeconomic characteristics of the members of the community, amongst others and secondly, what kind of initiative is-who the generation, if it comes from the private sector, public sector or both inclusive. He also stated that the best should have the support of the public sector, with the help of the policies of national and regional government, so would have more support as the state that should encourage communities to enable them in turn self-management (co). stressed that "it is recommended that they be persons of the same community, with high human sensitivity and are trained in advance with the tools and techniques of negotiation and mediation to resolve disputes. In this sense, there are workshops and certificate of training in alternative dispute resolution where the participants are prepared in the area of \u200b\u200bnegotiation, mediation, conciliation and arbitration. They will also receive tools such as neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), ethics and values \u200b\u200band general context of Marcs. "
Amado, also author of the book published by Conflict Resolution Books and El Nacional, which already has a second edition, concludes that it should be noted that mediation is a drive mechanism of social peace, to acceptable levels by reducing the caseload of the Venezuelan State with all the dissatisfaction that the service brings traditional citizens, thus providing a satisfactory resolution of disputes for the parties to regents in the process and encouraging communication practices that facilitate understanding and dialogue.
